<p> </p><h2>Overview</h2><p>Hiragana Pixel Party is a rhythm game that teaches people how to read Japanese. </p><p>The game has similarities with Parappa the Rapper. In a question answer style sequence, the game will play the sounds or show the characters of Hiragana/Katakana to the player and expect them to repeat the pattern in time with the music. The game teaches the phonics of language by playing sounds, and then forcing the player to press the correct onscreen letter. Therefore, unlike parappa, this game involves translating the sound to the letters rather then just pure repetition.</p><p>The game shipped with 7 music tracks and associated levels. The game has since been updated to include more music from Springloaded's other games (Tiny Dice Dungeon / Campaign Clicker / Heart Beaten / Space Lift Danger Panic! & The Last Vikings) <br /><br />Originally released on iOS, it has since also become available on Steam. The game ran an unsuccessful kickstarter campaign with the goal of bringing the game to consoles. In the pitch video that game was seen running on 3DS, with promise of Xbox One and PS4 versions also coming.
